The Rafters Pod Ep. 82: Can The Celtics Win With This Team?

It’s time to ask, can the Celtics win games with this team? The way this team is constructed right now, can we be successful?

Jaylen Brown is missing time with a nagging hamstring injury. With an absence to the teams main star, other players are supposed to step in and make up for the production they would get from the young wing player. Justin resentfully brings it up again but Ime Udoka still refuses to play young guys. Second year, Payton Pritchard gets inconsistent minutes at best. Nesmith and Langford can’ seem to get on the floor together. In Boston we dream of championships and nothing less so watching this team can be tough. Title aspirations for this team are on life support, playoffs seem like the best hope, and our superstars can’t be satisfied with that. It’s a period of uncertainty for fans of the green and white.

Justin brings up some key questions for Liam. In a podcast, Tatum expressed that him and Brown share “different goals”. This statement leads our co-hosts to wonder who envisions championships and who day dreams about personal stats. Has the Tatum-Brown experiment run its course? Can this Celtics team win?
