Lionel Messi Leaves Barcelona – Now What?

The story in the past 24 hours has been the Lionel Messi departure from Barcelona.

The story itself has been an absolute shock to the world. Earlier in the year, it was thought out that Lionel would stay and that Barcelona were working a contract for him. However, now that Barcelona has undergone a massive financial audit, we have learned that Lionel is leaving Barcelona.

Now the question has been diverted to “Ok, so where does he go next?” Well, we have some breaking news on this story.

It is now becoming far clearer that the next destination for Lionel Messi is PSG. Details of the contract are pending to be finalized but the news could break any time this weekend should the move get completed.

Previously Thought of Destinations

Back when the summer transfer window started, it was uncleared if Lionel Messi would leave Barca. There were two theories at first:

1. If Lionel Messi leaves Barcelona, he could be headed for Manchester City and reunite with old friend, Pep Guardiola.
2. If Lionel Messi leaves Barcelona, does he decide to go to the MLS instead?

It is now clear just how much more Lionel Messi wants to compete in European level and achieve glory. Now, it is all on the hands of PSG management to close the deal! Coffee is for closers as they say!

What PSG Could Look Like With Messi!

I’m amazed at how effective and aggressive the approach has been from the French side in order to improve for next season. The leadership of Mauricio Pochettino has been key for PSG ownership to push harder in an effort to get these massive signings.

However, never in a million years did anyone imagine Sergio Ramos leaving Madrid nor did anyone ever imagine the day where Lionel Messi leaves Barcelona. Here we are now, 2021 the year where NOTHING is normal anymore and allow me to share with you the threat that this French side poses to the world once Messi’s signing is completed.
