Jets Vs Falcons Fantasy Football Preview

It is week 5 of the NFL Fantasy Football season. This week started with a Thursday Night Football game between the Seahawks and Rams, in which the Rams came out victorious. Other fantasy matchups include 49ers vs Cardinals, Broncos vs Steelers, and Browns vs Chargers. But the one this article is covering takes place in London. That would be the Jets vs Falcons fantasy football preview.

Must Start

Cordarrelle Patterson RB Falcons

Falcons player of the week: RB Cordarrelle Patterson - The Falcoholic

This RB is heating up for the Falcons! Last week against the WFT he produced 34.6 fantasy points in PPR. He also scored not 1, not 2 but 3 TD’s. He has shown he is a threat at rushing and at receiving. As someone who sat him last week I will not be making that mistake again, until he stops producing. Mike Davis has not performed like Cordarrelle has been the last couple weeks. With a favorable matchup against the 32nd ranked run defense it is a no brainer to start Patterson this week. My prediction is rushing and receiving yards combined he will get over 100 and 1 TD.

Others To Consider

Jamison Crowder WR Jets

Fantasy Football Week 14 start or sit: Jamison Crowder | NBC Sports

Jamison Crowder is back for the Jets. In his first game of the season against the Titans he had 7 receptions for 61 yards and 1 TD. This is not a bad showing at all, in fact he was targeted more then his teammate Corey Davis. Having this other WR option will be good for Zach Wilson. Good enough to consider starting him in a Flex spot. Especially, since this week he has a favorable matchup of 26th receiving defense. In ESPN leagues he is only owned in 31.3% of leagues. If you’re in a bind and need another WR guy look towards Crowder this week.

Kyle Pitts TE Falcons

The Kyle Pitts Hype Should Be Tempered - The 33rd Team

The 4th pick of the 2021 NFL Draft Kyle Pitts. Personally I expected this rookie to blow up at TE. But, honestly he has not had that amazing week yet. I am predicting it to be this week. With Ridley and Gage out at WR this leaves more room for Pitts to make receiving plays for this offense. Last week he showed some light of this with 9 fantasy points. Which is not a terrible showing for a TE. He however, has not recorded a TD yet. I believe Pitts will get his first NFL TD this week, which already makes him worth considering at TE. This one could be a gamble as he has shown inconsistency and different types of usage. I think this is the week we see what Pitts is all about.

Avoid

Zach Wilson QB Jets

How does Zach Wilson compare to other Rookie QB's from the class of 2021 - Gang Green Nation

There’s something to be said about QB’s that play for the Jets. They do not do well. Zach Wilson is the newest QB to fall under that case. He does have a favorable matchup with Falcons being 30th defense against QB’s, but I would not risk it when there is better options out there. Every single week Wilson has thrown an interception, but not every single week has he made a TD. The weeks without TD’s he only recorded 2 fantasy points, his best fantasy score came week 1 against the Panthers with 18 fantasy points. Personally, I would gamble on another QB because 18 points does not convince me to start this man in any of my leagues. Sorry Jets fans.

Jets vs Falcons Final Thoughts

Other names not listed that I would play are from the Falcons: Mike Davis, Matt Ryan and Olamide Zaccheaus (simply because they do not have their top two WR’s this game). For the Jets I would also play Corey Davis and Michael Carter. Neither of these defenses are worth the stream this week.

Both teams have favorable matchups playing each other. It also is in a neutral sight with London. But this game will go one of two ways. It will either be lots of scoring (with the lack of both defenses) or low scoring. Honestly, I am not sure which way this will go. There are some hidden gems worth playing in this Jets vs Falcons matchup though. Be on the lookout for more fantasy football previews!
