Broncos At Steelers: Fantasy Football Preview

As week five of the NFL schedule approaches, another exciting matchup is on queue. It’s the Broncos at Steelers taking place this Sunday at 1PM. if you are a fantasy football league manager, I will be sharing with you my “Lock” player, my must start, avoid and who to keep an eye on for in this matchup.

Lock It This Week!

Najee Harris – Steelers RB

From the very moment this guy was drafted, he was immediately considered a top-five rookie running back and for obvious reasons. While he had a slow start to the season in game one, from there on, he’s been unstoppable. In this matchup, going up against a Denver Broncos defense expect him to be a key player.

Yes, this is a tough matchup against Denver. However, Harris is heavily involved in snaps and barely has yielded any touches to Benny Snell Jr. Rest assure that this guy will put up a decent and productive week coming out of the backfield for Pittsburgh.

Must – Start This Week!

Noah Fant – Denver Broncos TE.

Simply put, you can’t go wrong starting Noah Fant this week and here’s why.

While the Broncos dealt with a loss against the Ravens, Fant caught a productive week in week four. He was able to catch 6-of-10 targets for 46 yards and a TD right before Teddy Bridgewater left the game due to a concussion. While we all know Bridgewater is the clear QB1 for Denver and he could be out this week, let’s also not forget that Fant is Drew Lock’s favorite target. He makes for a solid TE1 option this week.

Avoid – Fade – Stay AWAY From…

Juju Smith-Schuster – Pittsburgh Steelers WR.

Other than the game against Las Vegas, one word to describe this man’s performance so far this season is, YIKES!

I understand he’s injured. However, his trends this season have left a lot to desire. Just last week, he caught 25% of his targets for a mere 11 yards. Additionally, he’s yet to score a TD and going up against a tough Broncos defense, leave him on the bench this week.

Keep an Eye out For…

Brandon McManus – Broncos Kicker

Week five’s matchup with Broncos at Steelers offers a battle between two strong defenses. With the uncertainty of who is starting at the QB position for Denver and possibly being limited to throwing? What are some other options here?

Coming to think about it, the field goal game may be heavily utilized this week by Denver. Brandon has been nearly perfect! You can expect the 30-year old kicker to continue that perfect streak and have a decent production of 15-20 points this week.
