Fantasy Football Preview: Rams vs Bears SNF
Tis the season for fantasy football. This weeks matchups started Thursday night with an exhilarating matchup between the Bucs and Cowboys. Week 1 matchups continue Sunday, with matchups such as Titans vs Cardinals, Chiefs vs Browns, Eagles vs Falcons, etc. But the game we will be waiting all day for is the Rams vs Bears. This article will give you my Fantasy Football Preview of Rams vs Bears on SNF.
There is a reason this team was the #1 Defense last season. There is also a reason I think this defense stays in the top 5 this season. Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey are both forces and names you do not want to mess with. With a very favorable week 1 matchup against the Bears they will come out and force those turnovers. Andy Dalton I expect to be sacked a couple times this game as well. Not to mention in 2020 when this defense played the Bears they got 14 fantasy points. My prediction they will match this 14 point performance again.
Others to Consider Playing
On the bears side of the ball this RB is one I would consider playing in the flex position. The last time these teams met he produced 11.9 points in a PPR league which for a flex is decent. Now it will be a uphill battle against the Rams but if any of the bears RB’s are going to produce it will be Montgomery. Rushing I see him having about a 80 yard game if McVay can get the offense in flow. The upside he can also get a few receptions thrown his way. My prediction 75 yards rushing, 4 receptions for 20 yards.
After being traded in the offseason to the Rams Michel becomes their RB 2. I believe he plays a passing RB role for this team. Especially these first few games as Henderson heals from his thumb injury fully. I think he plays well enough to also be considered as a Flex option in PPR leagues. He will get the catches and I think he will get some red zone targets as well. But how good an option? My prediction 50 yards rushing, 6 receptions for 30 yards and 1 TD.
The bears have a new starting QB in town good old Andy Dalton. Now I do not expect him to be horrible but I do not expect him to be great either. An interesting stat about this QB is Andy Dalton has a 6-17 (.261) career record in primetime games, which is the second lowest QB win pct in primetime since 2000. That being said the man will have an interception or two. The Ram’s defense will be causing problems for him throughout the game. Prediction this QB does not finish in the top 20 this week.
Last Thoughts on Players
This game has a lot of key offense players on both teams. Others I haven’t listed include some talented WR’s such as Allen Robinson, Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods (all who should be started this week in at least a WR 2 spot). Matthew Stafford making his Rams debut (I expect a top 10 QB performance this week). Lastly there are some unpredictable TE’s with Tyler Higbee and Cole Kmet. Higbee could be a start but Kmet I would not this week.
For the fantasy football preview Rams vs Bears SNF game overall my prediction is: Rams win the game this week and also are more dominate in fantasy then the bears players.
