Fantasy Football Preview: Philadelphia vs Atlanta

Fantasy Football is underway officially later on tonight. This matchup that I will be talking about right now is Philadelphia vs Atlanta on the early Sunday slate. This is going to be a shootout, get ready and strapped in because I think this will be the highest scoring game of the weekend. Both teams are going to put up a ton of points. Here is what I think each teams fantasy players will put up this week.

MUST PLAY:

Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts is one of my must play quarterbacks this week. Hurts is my QB4 this week and I think he is going to ball out against this Falcons defense. Besides AJ Terrell. this Falcons secondary is nothing to write home about. Jalen Hurts is a threat to throw and run the football even more this week. I think that we will see big numbers from Hurts in week one, in what could be the start of his breakout season. Hurts is a must start in all formats.

Prediction: 325 Passing Yards 45 Rushing Yards 4 total touchdowns.

Others To Play:

Kyle Pitts:

The Rookie tight end for the Falcons is a tight end that you should be playing this week. Pitts is TE5 in my rankings this week. I think he is going to eat up the field against Philadelphia. He will be leading the charge for Falcons receivers this week. I think he has the more favorable matchup between any other Falcons receiver on the field this week. Pitts finishes in the range of 15-19 fantasy points this week and if you were lucky enough to draft him start him this week ten times out of ten.

Keep An Eye On:

Devonta Smith

Devonta Smith is a player that I am definitely keeping my eye on in this week one matchup. The rookie wide receiver is my opinion on who has one of the best upside for rookie wide receivers this season. The Hurts and Smith connection might be a big thing this season and this will start the come up of this connection. I have Smith as my  WR36 this week only because I want to see how he does first. This could be the coming out party for the reigning Heisman winner and he is a guy I am keeping my eye on.

Avoid:

Mike Davis

The Mike Davis hype train has carried over to this season. Davis filled in when McCaffrey went down last season, but I don’t think his success carries over to Atlanta. I have Mike Davis as my RB27 this week. The Eagles defensive line are going to give Atlanta some trouble and it is going to clog a lot of lanes for Mike Davis. Also I believe that Atlanta will be playing from behind so he will have less carries which leads to less fantasy points. Avoid Mike Davis at all cost this week.

Other Fantasy Predictions:

Matt Ryan: 285 Passing Yards 2 Passing Touchdowns. QB14 this week

Calvin Ridley: 75 Receiving Yards 1 Touchdown. WR12 this week

Miles Sanders: 65 rushing yards, 25 receiving yards RB19 this week.
