Alex Guerrero Had To Go, Plain And Simple

I have had an extremely tough time the past few days, figuring out what I think of this whole Alex Guerrero-Bill Belichick beef. When the story broke the beginning of the week, I was having a hard time picking a side to be honest. I thought to myself why is Bill rocking the boat? Is it really worth pissing off Tom this late in the season just to make a point? It all just seemed pointless to me, rocking the boat this close to playoff time.

Their have been more guesses and more shots in the dark about what really happened, to make the situation go so bad so fast. From the outside it had appeared to be working fine, like it has been since Brady and Guerrero began working together.

So, the story that seems to have the most traction on why he was finally shown the door, Alex was undermining the medical staff for the Patriots and the players were starting to ignore the medical staff and listen to Alex. If I was Bill, I would have done the same exact thing. You can’t have somebody who isn’t on your staff and isn’t technically apart of the organization, undermining what the people apart of the organization is saying. This guy has always seemed like a weasel to me, I could be crazy but I think Tom Brady will be fine without his personal doctor on the sidelines and making trips with the team.

All this being said I don’t think this will really have any impact on the playoff run the Patriots are about to embark on. But something worth watching is the relationship between the Patriots leader of the franchise, and the faced of the franchise. Call me crazy but the last few years there have been just to many rumblings and small things that have shown a potential crack in the relationship between the to. Most of these sports marriages don’t end well, and I’m sorry but I don’t know if this one will either .
