Verbally Committed Episode 11: Who’s in the Playoff Now & A Celebration of Life for the B1G and Pac-12

After a couple of weeks of nonsense between the Big 10 releasing their schedule and then postponing their seasons and Nebraska rebelling against authority. We are taking time to focus on the other conferences who are playing.

Well sort of, for most of the episode at least. At the end we hold a celebration of life for the Big Ten and Pac-12 and what we will miss the most this fall without them in our lives.

URI Basketball Gets Good News

Gilli breaks down for us the good news that the Rhody Rams got this week about a couple of transfers being gifted immediate eligibility. And with Obi Toppin going to the NBA, is the A-10 there for the taking for URI this year?

SEC Coaches With Some Takes

Lane Kiffin says B1G and Pac-12 players should be allowed to transfer without any repercussions. We debate whether he is right about that, or is he wrong?

Nick Saban claims that spring football would look like a JV game rather than what could be if we stick it out this fall. Does he have a point? Or better yet, do we care?

Who is in the Playoff Now?

Well without Ohio State in the picture, and possibly Oregon for some, what does the College Football Playoff look like now with the SEC, Big 12 and ACC? The answer is a little murkier than one would think. We try and break down what could happen but in an upside-down and unprecedented season, the CFP might end up just like that.

A Celebration of Life for B1G and Pac-12

We talk about the little things we are going to miss the most about no B1G and Pac-12 football this fall. Sure it might be back in the spring (doubtful) but it won’t be the fall, it won’t be the same.

Pac-12 After Dark, A noon kick off between Illinois and Indiana with Beth Mowens on the call, no more game days in Lincoln for Connor.

It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later.
