The UEFA Champions League group stages continues and brings today matchday 5 of 6.

Some of the groups are very much decided already but some others are still in limbo and today could be the deciding factor. I would like to share with you some of the games I think would be worth watching.

Let’s get to it shall we?

Today’s Must Watch Games!

Atletico Madrid vs. Bayern Munich

Group A and primetime game between these two titans! Atletico is in a tough position and in a must-win one as well.

Currently, Lokomotiv Moscow is right behind them trailing them by two points. So, in the case that Lokomotiv wins and Atletico takes a loss against Bayern. Yeah, Atletico would have no option other than pray and hope they can beat a tough RB Salzburg and that Lokomotiv doesn’t tie or beat Bayern next week.

However, history is on Atletico’s side and should Diego Simeone bring his A-Game today with his lineup, this could be a heck of a match to watch honestly.

Group D TENSE COMPETITION!!!!

Group D brings a tense week with these two matchups happening. Why is that? Well, currently Ajax and Atalanta are virtually tied at points but the goal differential is sending Ajax onto the next round. It would be equally important for Ajax to win against Liverpool because they could take the lead on the group.

However, let’s say that Atalanta and Ajax both win the games today! Oh boy, that puts the #YNWA Liverpool team in third place, sending them into a must win situation against Midtjylland. We all know football well enough these days to know that it’s always the last ones of each group to get the last laugh and cost the most damage to those in need. Both of these games are on today at 3PM EST, primetime matches and do or die for 3 out of the 4 teams.

Must Watch Games – TOMORROW!

RB Leipzig vs. Istanbul Basaksehir 

Group H of the UEFA Champions League was called the group of death when the draw happened earlier in the year and rightfully so!

RB Leipzig have shown up to be that problematic team out of the group with a tremendously developed defensive game that has caused confusion, problems and more to the full group. However, they have a clear-cut opportunity here to seriously screw their rivals Paris St-Germain out of the Champions League. Should Leipzig win this game and should the Manchester vs. PSG game end tied or at a loss for PSG, RB Leipzig moves to 2nd place very much advancing to the next round.

Manchester United vs. PSG.

If you are following the Yellow Card Podcast on YouTube or Twitter, you know my cohost Chris Jones always wants to give me a hard-time whenever these two teams meet. However, hear me out for just a few here!

As mentioned earlier, group H is getting hotter and hotter by the second! Manchester of course is coming out of a very good comeback victory against Southampton with Cavani looking as good as ever. However, PSG is in a very screwy situation and could be on their way out of Champions League.

Neymar, Mbappe and company will need to come into this game with their all. History has it, that Neymar is much like Nani in this sense. When their teams are up against the wall, mistakes come and go but the end result is costly and I personally see Leipzig pulling the K.O Punch to PSG here.

Hmmm.. I wonder if Neymar watched the Jake Paul vs. Nate Robinson fight, cause this could be coming his way…

In Conclusion….

Honestly, this is one of the most exciting weeks for Champions League!

The group stages are always exciting but I personally see this years’ edition being one of the most surprising yet competitive one so I am just as excited as I could be for this week.
