The Odell Saga Continues – Where to Next?

In the past 24 hours, rumors are running high with Odell potentially being released from the Browns organization.
Yesterday, the below was reported. Today, that same saga continues…
I'm told #Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. has been told he's excused from practice today, per league source. Additionally, it is my understanding that OBJ was ready to attend practice per usual.

So if the rumors are true, let’s look at the possibilities of where he could go next.
Immediate Options for Odell
New Orleans Saints

The Saints find themselves limited in resources at the wide receiver position. Additionally, Jameis Winston is done for the season after suffering a torn ACL injury last week. With this in mind, it leaves the Saints having to go to their backup QB, Taysom Hill who loves to sling the ball downfield. However, the Saints only have Marquez Callaway and Tre ‘Quan Smith to rely on.
Could We See Odell Sent To Las Vegas?

Personally, I believe Las Vegas is his next destination.
With the news of Henry Ruggs III released due to an accident he was involved in and facing charges for, the Raiders are left with not many options at that WR position. If you look up and down that roster, Hunter Renfrow is the only strong option for that team. Derek Carr seems to be having a great year slinging the ball and with a receiver as versatile as Odell? I don’t see why not!

Frankly, this is a bit of a tricky situation.
In one hand, I think him and Mac Jones would make a strong connection. Odell can run several routes and would make himself a solid target for Mac to rely on.
On the other hand though, I see how well Jakobi Meyers is developing and I feel Odell would just overshadow that prospect. Additionally, Odell’s behavior is concerning as it is often that you hear about how disruptive he can be. With the Patriots focusing on helping Mac develop and on getting the job done, Odell would be a distraction I believe. In terms of his career though, this move would be huge for him. Especially being coached by one of the best coaches of all-time in Bill Belichick.
In Conclusion…
While the Odell Saga Continues, I’m feeling that his released will come after this weekend.
Frankly, the Browns should’ve traded him this year. It is clear that Odell has struggled to find that chemistry again with Baker Mayfield. These reports also show some additional frustrations growing especially whereas Kevin Stefanski has practically told the team that Odell is “Essentially no longer a part of the team”

I’d be curious to see how much longer this Odell Saga Continues. For now, he’s still part of the Cleveland Browns until released.
