The Boston Celtics Should Have Serious Momentum Going Forward

We all know this Celtics team has not met their expectations going into the season…YET! But, Saturday should be a huge positive for any Celtics fan that has been doubting them all season. (You know who you are!)

The Celtics Match Up Well with the Warriors

So on Saturday night, the Celtics took on the defending champion Golden State Warriors. Unfortunately, they didn’t get the end result that they wanted.

In their last seven matchups with the Warriors, the Celtics are 3-4. However, five of those games have been by single digits. Kyrie did Kyrie like things, 32 points with 10 assists and 6 rebounds while also breaking another milestone.

Al Horford had a nice little double-double with 22 points and 13 assists. Jayson Tatum also helped the cause with 20 points and 5 rebounds.

So even though Saturday night was a loss in the record books, there still can be a lot to be excited about.

Steve Kerr Knows the Celtics are the Next Great Team

Steve Kerr is one of the top three head coaches in the NBA. I would put him, Gregg Popovich and Brad Stevens in my top three, in no particular order. After the game on Saturday night, Kerr acknowledged that the Celtics are something special and can emulate what the Warriors have done.

Kerr sees the writing on the wall and knows that the Celtics are right there with his Warriors. Keep in mind, Kerr has won several championships from playing with Michael Jordan to coaching a team that some people say might have beaten Jordan’s teams. The bottom line is that Kerr sees something special with this Celtics group and you, the fans, should be seeing the same thing as well.

The Celtics Have an Easy Stretch of Games Coming Up

The Celtics have the Brooklyn Nets tonight coming to invade the T.D. Garden.

This game should NO DOUBT be a win. Kemba Walker and the Hornets visit the Garden Wednesday before the Celtics travel to Madison Square Garden to take on the Knicks Friday. The Celtics SHOULD finish up 3-0 on the week before taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder in a Sunday afternoon tilt, right before the Patriots play in the Super Bowl.

I have said it once and I will say it again, this Celtics team is JUST FINE! They know they can compete with and beat the best that the NBA has to offer this season. Plus, Gordon Hayward hasn’t even been Utah Jazz caliber Gordon Hayward yet. If he gets back to form in the playoffs, the Celtics will be rolling.

For now, one game at a time. Right, Greenie?

Right! Let’s start with a win tonight and then, don’t let the Celtics get hot!
