#SoccerSaturdays: One Team’s Loss Is Another Ones’ Gain!

Another weekend filled with action for the English Premier League and another weekend where Everton continues to thrive.

Welcome to another edition of #SoccerSaturdays. Today, it is incredibly impossible to avoid mentioning Colombian talent, James Rodriguez.

While the Colombian has faced a lot of adversity in his young career, it seems like a third reunion with Carlo Ancelotti has rejuvenated James’ game and it is in full display!

James – Yerry Mina Link Up (First Half).

Today’s game was a very challenging one as Brighton Hove & Albion have demonstrated they are here to compete.

During the first half, Everton quickly took the lead but a tough tackle on Richarlison slowed down the offensive attack by Everton forcing them to recreate their game.

Towards the end of the first half though, a tackle on James Rodriguez would be everything the Toffees needed to take the lead.

James takes the free-kick, crosses it to his pal Yerry Mina, SCORE!!!

James Rodriguez’ Second Half – RIDICULOUS!!!

The Ancelotti effect was in full swing. Whatever strategy was said in that locker room fired up the players and Everton quickly took control of the game. The 58th minute approaches and James Rodriguez scores his second goal with the Blues.

As the game carried on, James was just absolutely out of control. James defended and created chances, his efforts were quickly paid back as at the 71st minute, a play between Iwobi and Doucoure would create an opportunity for James, allowing him to net his 3rd goal of the season.

Carlo subbed James at the 78th minute and brought in Theo Walcott who also looked really sharp. Game ends with a 4-1 victory for the Blues and the Colombian would earn his “Man of the match” award.

Ancelotti Effect In Full Swing For Everton…

Carlo Ancelotti continues to also be the story at Everton and rightfully so. The Italian has turned this team into an incredible powerhouse. The Toffees are now first in the English Premier League and are undefeated after 4 games so far.

The effect of Carlo Ancelotti and the trust that he continues to place in his team continue to show just how incredibly smart Ancelotti really is. Should Everton carry this type of momentum all the way thru the end of the league, I will not be surprised if Everton takes the EPL title this year and goes for Champions League football for 2022.

In Conclusion…

James Rodriguez’ Everton side continue to pour their talent against the whole league. As the momentum continues to increase for this team, there is no question that Real Madrid should feel embarrassed of having let go James Rodriguez. Futbol, or soccer as some call it, can quickly teach many that “One’s team loss is another ones’ gain” and in this case, it is clear as ever that James Rodriguez is a game-changing, young talent, thriving in one of the world’s most difficult league. Good luck, James!
