With what was supposed to be opening day long gone, we are still clamoring for baseball. Players and networks have gotten creative with playing each other on MLB The Show 20. SNY, the Mets broadcasting network, has pledged to air each Mets game on the day and time of when the game was actually supposed to be. It gives us Mets fans some hope and a form of baseball to watch. Today, SNY will be broadcasting the contest against the Nationals at 4:00pm on YouTube and Twitter and you can take a guess at who will be tuning in.

Opening Day Recap
Jacob DeGrom and Max Scherzer faced off on opening day once again this past Thursday. When these two guys face off, it is must watch television. Both pitchers were sharp in the first inning, but both gave up 2 runs in the second inning. DeGrom let up back-to-back home runs while Scherzer let up a dinger to Robinson Cano on opening day for the second straight year.

The two would match zeros for the remainder of their innings and it would eventually end up in extras. The Nationals would end up winning 3-2 to start 1-0 on the season.
Previewing Today’s Game
With Noah Syndergaard out for the season, game 2 of the 2020 season likely gives Marcus Stroman the ball. He should be penned up against Stephen Strasberg. Stroman needs to improve on an inconsistent 2019 with the Mets. He gave up almost as many home runs with the Mets (8) in 11 games started as he did with the Blue Jays (10) in 21 games started. He did have his best start as a Mets against the Nationals so hopefully some of that success can roll over in 2020. The line up needs more from top to bottom, especially from McNeil and Alonso. It is always a tough matchup against Strasberg, but the Mets need to work the count, get his pitch count up, and get to the bullpen early. If they can scratch out a few hits early, and Stroman pitches well, today will bode well for the Metropolitans.
It may seem silly to a lot of people, but these streams bring me so much joy. Baseball is such a huge part of my life and I will consume any kind of baseball content at a time like this. It is obviously not the same as the real thing, but right now, this is the best I can get, and I will watch every game I can, just like a normal season.
