NFL Top 100: 10-1

We have finally gotten to the point that everybody has been waiting for. The NFL top ten will be revealed right now. If you missed my last part which was 11-20, here is a link to that one.

Now that you can see who I have ranked from 11-20, it is time to reveal my top ten. Here are my NFL top ten players that I have for the 2021 NFL season.

10.) Derrick Henry (Tennessee Titans)

Derrick Henry is hands down one of if not the best running back in the league right now. The 6 foot 3 247 pound running back has been a workhorse for Tennessee the last two seasons. Last season he even ran for over 2,000 rushing yards. Derrick Henry had the fifth best single season amount of rushing yards last year. He hasn’t had less than 12 touchdowns in a season since becoming a full time starter.

Henry has blossomed into an NFL top ten player in the league. He is easily one of the toughest guys to be taken down in the modern era. Also Henry is very quick given his built. Averaging over 5 yards per carry and over 126 rushing yards per game as well has easily cemented Henry as a top ten player in this league.

9.) Myles Garrett (Cleveland Browns)

Myles Garrett is an absolute machine. Garrett is a former number one overall selection and has been a big time factor since he has stepped foot into this league. In his last three seasons he has had at least 10 sacks in every single season. He is an offensive lineman’s nightmare with the way that he explodes off of the line. Garrett has such a unique repertoire when it comes to his skills and pass rushing abilities. Myles Garrett is a front running contender for defensive player of the year this season. He will be a must watch this year if you haven’t been watching him already.

8.) Davante Adams (Green Bay Packers)

Davante Adams has a good argument for being the best wide receiver in the league. The chemistry that he has with Aaron Rodgers is out of this world. Adams had a huge part in Rodgers’ MVP season last year. He had 115 receptions to go along with 1,374 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns. Having just under 100 receiving yards per game is a great stat to look at in my opinion. Adams is a big time factor for the Packers and with Rodgers back for one final run expect great things out of Adams in 2021.

7.) Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills)

I will admit I was wrong about Josh Allen. Last season I was waiting for the fall off and it never happened. We saw him take a big step in being consistent inside of the pocket. With him being a threat in the pocket it creates a plethora of options for him moving forward. Getting an all-pro receiver like Stefon Diggs did help him, but we saw so much improvement from Josh Allen in 2020. Big things are going to come from him in 2021 and if 2020 was any implication he will be in the running for MVP yet again.

6.) Travis Kelce (Kansas City Chiefs)

Travis Kelce has been one of if not the best tight ends in football since the 2016 season. He has had five straight 1,000 or more receiving yards in a single season. Kelce is easily one of Mahomes’ favorite weapons. Last season we saw a big uptick for Kelce. He set a career high in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns. We will continue to see the big man dominate night in and night out again in 2021. Kelce is easily a future hall of famer, and we will continue to see his greatness in 2021.

5.) T.J. Watt (Pittsburgh Steelers)

T.J. Watt has been one of the best young defensive players the last three seasons. He has had at least 13 or more sacks in his last three years. He also had 15 last year for Pittsburgh which was a career high. While he was leading the league in sacks he finished as the runner up in the Defensive Player Of The Year award. Watt is fantastic against the run, and got some moves from his brother when it comes to the pass rush. We saw his brother get two seasons with more than 20 sacks in a single season, can we expect that from T.J.? Watch in 2021 to find out, but T.J. Watt is going to continue to go off in 2021.

4.) Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers)

The reigning NFL MVP is entering what seems to be the final year with the Green Bay Packers. Rodgers was a big reason why I was waiting to put out my NFL top ten. I wanted to have him in my top ten, but wanted to make sure he was playing in 2021. Now that he is I have him on number four on my list. I do strongly believe that we will see similar numbers like we saw in 2020. I do think we see yet another 4,000 yard or more season out of Rodgers. The 3-time MVP is going to be solid like he is every year. Make sure that you are keeping tabs on Rodgers though, because I am curious to see where he goes after this year is over.

3.) Aaron Donald (Los Angeles Rams)

Aaron Donald has been the best defensive lineman that I have ever seen in my lifetime. Donald is now entering his 30’s. but he already has a hall of fame list of accomplishments in his career. He has won the Defensive Player Of The Year award in three out of the last four seasons. He has made the Pro Bowl in every year that he has been in the league and has been an All-Pro in every year but one as well. Donald is going to go down as one of the best defensive lineman in the league’s history. We will see more history being made from him in 2021.

2.) Tom Brady (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Tom Brady had one of the greatest seasons that I have seen from a guy in his 40’s and with a torn MCL. Brady helped bring Tampa Bay their first title since 2002. He is easily the best quarterback to ever play the game and continues to improve his resume year after year. Now he is a 7 time Super Bowl Champion and boy I don’t think anybody else will come close to that for a long long time. Look for Brady to do more of the same as the Buccaneers have brought back seemingly everybody from their Super Bowl winning team a season ago.

1.) Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City Chiefs)

He was labeled the future of the league. I do think he is entering the time of being the face of the league, which is why he’s number one in my NFL top ten. 38-8 as a starter in the league and he already has 114 touchdowns to go with 24 interceptions. These are historic numbers to start a career and Mahomes is just getting started. He is the present and the future of this league. There is no dying how talented he is and with the weapons around him he should be putting up these kinds of numbers. Look out for Mahomes because I think he is due for another MVP season and I think this will be the year.
