Lock, Fade And Stay Away (9/19/20)
If you want the rest of my lock(s) and all of Fiesta’s locks make sure you are following us on twitter (@thechasers617). Also don’t forget to give our podcast a listen on Sound Cloud (@thechasers) as we put out two episodes a week (Wednesday and Thursday). With that being said here some of my lock(s), my favorite to fade, and my bet to stay away from today.
Lock(s):
Over 207.5 (Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat) (2.2u/2u)
The Boston Celtics are in a now or never situation in Game Three tonight. Boston has dominated both games in the first half, but struggles heavily in the third quarter and it has cost them the chance to be up 2-0 in this series. The Celtics have blown multiple double digit leads, and tonight in Game Three is a must win for them. The over in this series should be two for two in this series, but down the stretch in Game Two both teams just couldn’t get it done to hit the over. Tonight Boston has their backs up against the wall, and this over is going to be nothing but money. Lock in the over in this one as I am risking 2.2 units to make 2 unit that is how confident I am in this hitting.
Tampa Bay Lightning -150 (1.5/1u)
Game One of the Stanley Cup Final kicks off tonight, and this series could go either two ways. The first way is that Tampa Bay just destroys Dallas like they did to everybody else in their path so far. The second way is that Dallas drags this out to seven games, and we get a very entertaining series. Tampa Bay is just too deep and too good to not win the Stanley Cup against Dallas. In their last three matchups Dallas has won two out of three of them, but I just love Tampa Bay in this spot tonight. Big time game tonight and they are still trying to prove that last year’s early exit was a fluke. Lock in the Lightning tonight on the money line as I am risking 1.5 units to make 1 unit in this one.
Fade:
Milwaukee Brewers -200
This fade looked great until the fourth inning. Danny Duffy imploded in the fourth inning, and cost me the fade pick here. I am fading them again today, because I don’t like them in this matchup. Yes, they exploded offensively yesterday; but I don’t think they are as good as advertised. The Brewers have won three out of their last four, and are due to have a disappointing showing at the plate today. I think Kris Bubic who has struggled for Kansas City is going to take it to the Brewers lineup today. Fade the Brewers again today, this time I don’t see them getting a huge inning to lead them to victory tonight.
Stay Away:
Over 8.5 (Minnesota Twins vs Chicago Cubs)
These two teams love to not score runs, and I don’t see many runs being scored again today. They played last night and the Cubs won 1-0. Tonight’s pitching matchup is Michael Pineda for the Twins and Alec Mills for the Cubs. Mills threw a no hitter in his last start, and has been great for the Cubs as of late. Pineda is a solid pitcher for the Twins, and both teams are going to struggle to put runs up on the scoreboard today. I am staying far away on this over as I see this going safely under in this one.
