Lock, Fade And Stay Away (7/25/20)
Lock:
Rangers -120
The first lock of the day is the Texas Rangers Money line at -120. Texas won a 1-0 game against Colorado last night, and I expect their offense to be even better today. Texas’ lineup has some potential to be very well and I would love to see them show it today against Jon Gray. I think this game has the potential to be a high scoring game, but look for Gallo and company to lock in a victory today.
A’s -133
Last night Oakland won with a walkoff Grand Slam against the Angels. I think they will hit Dylan Bundy very well today and if the Angels have to go to the bullpen I give the advantage to Oakland’s offense. Right Now Oakland’s offense is much better because of Anthony Rendon being out with an oblique injury. If Rendon is healthy the offensive matchups are will be very close, but without Rendon look for the A’s to get another win today against the Angels.
Fade:
Houston (-1.5 -160)
Now am I saying that Houston will lose to Seattle today? I am not, but I see this game being a lot more closer than people think. Seattle’s lineup will look to be more effective than they were yesterday. Also Houston looked very good yesterday offensively, I do see them taking a step back today. Lance McCullers is pitching for Houston, and he hasn’t pitched in a regular season game since August of 2018 so I believe he will be rusty today. Look for the Mariners to give Houston a good run today, and if they lose it’ll be less than two runs.
Stay Away:
Over/Under 8.5 (Atlanta vs New York Mets)
Yesterday we saw a great pitching performance from both teams, and the difference was a Yoenis Cespedes home run that showed to be the only run in the game. The pitching matchup today is Max Fried vs Steven Matz which is leading me into the stay away direction in this one. I could see one of the lineups today struggle, and the game ending up being under. Also I could see both offenses go wild and the game goes over. This is why I will be staying away from the over/under in this game today.
