It Is A Great Day To Be A Couch Guy
QUICK! Get to your couches!
Sunday, April 14th is set to be a wonderful day for doing absolutely nothing other than basking in the glory of your television screen. Today is the day to live up to the Couch Guy Sports name.
The Masters
With an early tee time this morning, The Masters likely was already underway when you woke up today, unless you didn’t sleep in on a Sunday like a sane human being. The Masters is shaping up to have a great finish. Will relatively unknown golfer Francesco Molinari continue his dominance of the course, or will Tiger, in his famed Sunday red, storm back to win his first Masters since 2005?
Just a heads up for those who missed the end of the day yesterday, tee-times were pushed up this morning as a precaution for incumbent weather in the area. So obviously, as a result of that, the finals holes of the day will be a little earlier than usual.
NBA Playoffs
Let’s Go! Celtics tip at 1:00 against the Pacers on TNT. Will they finally find their footing this season, and avoid the upsets that Philly and Toronto suffered in their respective game ones. As it stands for the Celtics, Smart is out with a torn oblique, but Brad Stevens expects that Tatum will be good to go come tip-off.
As the Celtics game is finishing up, one of the most interesting series in the Western Conference will be tipping off. OKC and Portland are two teams that could beat anyone, or lose to anyone. Getting to see Westbrook, who averaged a triple-double again this year, face off against Dame will be a treat for any who watch.
The Bucks tip at 7:00 against Detroit as Giannis looks to lead the 1-seed Bucks to a win. After that game wraps up, James Harden will lead the Rockets against the Donovan Mitchell led Jazz. Both games will be on TNT.
Game of Thrones
The perfect end to a perfect day. The eighth and final season of arguably the most popular show in the world kicks off tonight. I’m so pumped. I didn’t start watching till right after season 7 wrapped up so shame (shame shame shame) on me, but I am ecstatic to finally get to watch Thrones while it’s on and not have to go on-demand. In what is promised to e an epic final season, we will finally get to see the ultimate battle of the living vs the dead. I got the living in 7. Everyone is making picks for who will sit on the Throne a the end of the show, and my opinion changes every time I hear a new fan theory. As it stands right now, I got Tyrion seizing power.
What a day we have ahead of us today. so quick before things start to pick up, run out to the store, gets your snacks, make sure you have batteries in the remote, and claim your spot on the couch. Today is a Couch Guy day.
