Is Kemba Walker the Answer?
It was reported Thursday that All-star Point Guard Kemba Walker of the Charlotte Hornets and a free agent, was going to sign with the Boston Celtics. The Celtics are making a very hard pitch for the point guard. If true, this would be a big pickup for the Celtics since that, it is almost certain, they will be losing Kyrie Irving, the same guy who promised the team he would re-sign after this season.

Kemba Walker is a solid player. Is he Kyrie Irving? Not exactly. Kyrie is the better player of the two. No disrespect to Kemba, I just would have loved to see Kyrie back in a Celtics uniform.
Kyrie Irving was not the guy for this team, unfortunately. He did not get along with his teammates and it just simply got to the point, Kyrie didn’t like Boston.
Kemba Walker went to the University of Connecticut, so he is very familiar with the area. He can easily get along with the younger players as well as the rest of the team. Kemba Walker can be a role model and mentor. Will Kemba be the answer? First, we’ll have to wait and see if he signs once free agency begins. Free agency begins this Sunday, June 30, 6 PM Est.
Kemba Walker is heading to Boston, barring a last-minute change of heart.
