I Don’t Watch the WWE… But EDGE Returning to the Ring Was One of the Most Electric Moments of All-Time

So like I said in the title. I don’t watch the WWE anymore, but I used to. Before you know, ladies got involved, I’d hang out at home on Friday nights with my dad and brother and we’d watch the hell out of Smackdown. It was electric. And one of the most entertaining guys in wrestling was easily EDGE.

And I didn’t buy the Royal Rumble this weekend, but when I was scrolling through Twitter on Monday morning and I saw that EDGE made a surprise appearance, I was PISSED I missed that opportunity to see it live.

Prepubescent Nick was all sorts of jacked up. Edge was one of those guys that kept wrestling somewhat interesting.  Wrestling now stinks, but if you still enjoy it, cool. I wish I still did because I used to get wicked excited every time it would come on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

I only watched it for a few years but I thought it was so much more intense back then. The guys they have now are *clears throat* BOOOOOOORING. Really, none of them are compelling whatsoever. It used to be so easy to get invested in the storylines but now it’s just, eh.

Edge used to be all over the place and he was one of the best in the game at one point. I think there was even a night where he had a bed set up in the middle of the ring so he could make some love with his lady. Things like that don’t make TV anymore but back then, young, teenage Nick, was blown away by these events.

Bringing back Edge was a GENIUS move by the WWE. Like I said, I don’t care about it at all anymore. But MAN, when I saw Edge’s entrance, I was gassed. Up.
