Hunter Renfroe powers the Red Sox with two more home runs on Tuesday

The Red Sox squeaked out a win over the Twins on Tuesday. Hunter Renfroe helped lead the offense crushing two home runs and driving in 5 RBIs in the win.

The 29-year-old outfielder mashed is first home run of the game in the bottom of the fourth. He destroyed his home run to deep left center. The ball would travel 369 feet and it gave the Sox a 4-3 lead.

The following inning, Renfroe would crush his second home run of the game. Renfroe would make the Twins pitching pay with a 408 foot two-run homer that would also score Alex Verdugo.

Renfroe’s key at the plate?

Following the game, Hunter Renfroe spoke with NESN’s Jahami Webster on what’s been key to his success at the dish lately.

“Just going out there and, like I said, play every day, going out there and focusing up, making sure I’m healthy, doing stuff I need to do in the cage before the game,” Renfroe told Webster after the win. “And getting prepared for the game, studying the pitcher up and do what I can.”

Renfroe now has 10 home runs for the month of August which leads the majors.
