Happy 29th Birthday to the Man, the Myth, the Legends: Mike Trout
There are heroes and then there are legends. If you’ve ever seen “The Sandlot”, then you know exactly where I paraphrased that line from. Anyways, we’re not here to talk about an old movie. We’re here to commemorate a guy that has done so much for the game of baseball. But the funny thing is, he still has a lot more he can do in years to come. So let’s come together and wish a Happy Birthday to an absolute legend in the MLB. Happy 29th birthday to the man, the myth, and the legend that is Mike Trout.
The 🐐 is still in his 20s.

Listen, there are good players in the game of baseball. There’s the great players in baseball. Then, there’s the superstars of baseball. Mike Trout is a superstar and nobody is going to argue that with his stats. He is the only player to hold a .300 average, a .400 OBP, have 250 career homeruns and 200 career stolen bases. Those are stats that are just unheard of in this day and age. He’s going to hit 500 homeruns at some point. The speed? Hopefully it keeps up with him so he can have 500 career stolen bases too. But with the trajectory he’s on, the sky is the limit for Trout.
The Accolades
Mike Trout has made the All-star team every season from 2012-2019. He’s won three MVP awards, seven Silver Slugger awards, and even won A.L. Rookie of the Year for good measure. Want more? He was also a part of the All-MLB First Team in 2019. He’s done so much more, that I’m going to let you do some research on your own.
So What’s Missing?
There’s only one thing missing: a World Series ring. It’s not Trout’s fault. The Angels need more players around him. He’s been to the playoffs once. Surround him with a lot more talent and that’ll give Trout more shots at a ring. Plain and simple.
In Conclusion
Happy Birthday to you, Mike Trout. You’ve made the game so much fun to watch for all generations watching baseball. There’s no doubt Trout will continue to light up the record books. A World Series title would be the icing on top of the cake. But for now, we’ll just enjoy what we’re getting from the man night in and night out.
