Fantasy Football Start’Em Sit’Em Week Two

Welcome back to another edition of Start’Em and Sit’Em for fantasy football. Last week we had some good advice on players to play and players to sit. I am back for week two to do more of the same. Being able to get some insight on players to start and players to sit help week in and week out. I have done my research and I am ready to give you my players to start and sit for this week. With that being said here are my starts and sits for week number two.

QB:

Start:

Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts finished in the top ten in week number one against the Falcons. This week the Eagles are at home against the 49ers. We saw the collapse of the 49ers defense in the second half against the Lions. I think Hurts is going to be a beast again in week number two and I think the 49ers defense is going to struggle against Hurts. We saw Hurts looking solid in week number one and we will see not only the Eagles look good, but Hurts is going to be a step above what he was last week.

Sit:

Jameis Winston

Jameis Winston is currently leading the league in passing touchdowns with five. He had five passing touchdowns, but he didn’t crack over 150 passing yards. Winston and the Saints are on the road at Carolina who played the Jets tough and I think they will play Jameis tough in week two. I think the Panthers will pressure Winston into making turnovers and Winston is a player you are going to sit this week.

RB:

Start:

Najee Harris

Najee Harris is a must start this week. Harris played every single offensive snap for the Steelers in week number one. He is a workhorse running back and is going to exploit that Raiders defense in week number two. We saw what the Raiders run defense looked like in week one and in week two we should see Najee Harris cook this week. I think Steelers offense is going to be run heavy this week and Najee Harris is going to be a must start in all formats this week.

Sit:

Mike Davis

This is a player to sit if I have ever seen this week. Mike Davis and the Falcons are going up against Tampa Bay. I think Tampa Bay is going to roll over the Falcons which is going to lead less carries for Mike Davis in week two. Davis to me is not even a flex option this week, Ryan is going to have to throw the football over 50 times to keep it somewhat close. Davis won’t get twenty touches this week, he might not even get fifteen. Sit Mike Davis at all cost in week two.

WR

Start:

Chris Godwin

Chris Godwin was good to all of his fantasy football owners in week one. I expect more of the same from him in fantasy for week number two. Godwin in my honest opinion is WR1 on this team ahead of Antonio Brown and Mike Evans. He is a really talented receiver and he torched the Falcons last season in two games. In week 17 last year he had two touchdowns to go along with 133 receiving yards. We should see Godwin dominate again against Atlanta in week two. Start him in every league that you have him in.

Sit:

DJ Chark

I understand Chark got a touchdown in week number one, but his target to reception rate was not great. Four targets per one reception in week number one for Chark. That is not a good line and I don’t think he will do much against this Denver secondary in week two. I like Shenault and Marvin Jones Jr a lot more this week than I like Chark. Sit Chark at all cost because he will not be of use in fantasy football in week number two.

TE:

Start:

Noah Fant

Fant has a very favorable matchup against the Jaguars in week number two. Also with Denver being without Jerry Jeudy for the next 4-6 weeks, I think Fant’s targets go up and so don’t his numbers. I think Fant has a chance to finish inside the top five in fantasy for tight ends this week. Big time uptick in catches and targets in week two for Fant so sit him and watch the numbers come in.

Sit:

Mike Gesicki

We saw the struggle from Gesicki in week number one and I think we see more of the same in week number two. They are going up against the Bills and he will struggle against that Bills defense. Gesicki is out of my top twenty for tight ends in week two. I think that he will struggle as well as the entire Miami offense in week two against Buffalo. Sit Gesicki at all cost in week two and honestly try and find a better option at tight end for the future.
