Fantasy Football Preview: Jacksonville Vs Cincinnati

Welcome back to another week of fantasy football previews. Today we are talking about Thursday night’s matchup between Jacksonville and Cincinnati. This looks to be one of more boring Thursday night games that we will get this year. Now there are some players that you are going to want to play this week, but there are also a player or two to avoid this week. With that being said here is my fantasy football preview for this Thursday Night Football matchup.

Ja’Marr Chase

Ja’Marr Chase has four touchdowns in three games and is Joe Burrow’s number one target. Chase this season is ranked in the top ten for wide receivers in fantasy football. Jacksonville is 22nd in fantasy points allowed to opposing wide receivers. If you are going to start a Cincinnati wide receiver this week it should be Ja’Marr Chase. I have Chase as my WR17 for week number four. You should play Chase in all formats, especially as your WR2 this week.

Keep An Eye On:

Laviska Shenault

Laviska Shenault was suppose to be a breakout player this season. He has not lived up to that potential so far. Shenault only has over ten fantasy points in one game this season. Last week he caught all four targets for forty eight receiving yards. The talent is there, but I think Marvin Jones Jr. is stealing the spotlight from him. The Bengals who are ranked 23rd in points allowed to opposing team’s wide receivers, so we should see the potential of Shenault having a solid performance. If he doesn’t have a good game here you should look to do one of two things. You should try and trade him away or you should drop him in all formats.

D.J. Chark

D.J. Chark is very touchdown dependent and if he doesn’t score he is not even worth a roster spot. Chark has gotten a touchdown in two games this season, but his point total would be horrendous without those touchdowns. We have seen Chark’s targets go down since week number one, but without the touchdown he would be outside the top fifty for wide receivers. Last week Chark had six targets and managed to bring in three receptions for 49 receiving yards and a touchdown. Take that touchdown away and he is labeled as a bust for the week. Chark should continue to stink this season and keep him far far away from your lineup.

Other Fantasy Predictions:

Joe Mixon: RB9 this week for me.

James Robinson: RB15 this week for me.

Tyler Boyd: WR34 this week for me.
