Fantasy Football Preview: Baltimore Ravens vs Denver Broncos
Finally! The Denver Broncos are finally facing a real football team this weekend. Not only is this a fun matchup from a fantasy standpoint, but it’s also a fun matchup in general. The Baltimore Ravens come into Denver as a 2-1 team after sneaking by the Detroit Lions off of a 66 yard field goal from Justin Tucker. The Broncos are 3-0 after beating the New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets. Something’s got to give this Sunday! Let’s take a look at this fantasy football preview: Baltimore Ravens vs Denver Broncos.
Must play:
Hollywood Brown
![]()
Entering week four, Hollywood Brown is the Ravens leading receiver and Lamar Jackson’s go-to receiver on the field. Yes, Brown is coming off a week where he dropped multiple passes that could have been touchdowns or lead to touchdowns. Also yes, rookie Rashod Bateman is expected to make his debut. But, Brown needs a bounce back game and this is where he’ll shine.
Prediction: 8 catches, 110 yards, 1 touchdown
Courtland Sutton

To continue the theme of wide receivers, Courtland Sutton should also be in your starting lineup this week. Since Jerry Jeudy went down with an injury, Sutton has stepped up to be the number one receiver for Teddy Bridgewater. Sutton faces an early test against this Ravens secondary which has already gone up against the likes of Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, T.J. Hockenson and Darren Waller. Now, it’s time for Sutton to really step up.
Prediction: 5 catches, 80 yards, 1 touchdown
Also start:
Mark Andrews
Mark Andrews is Lamar Jackson’s security blanket. If Jackson needs a five or six yard completion to convert a third down, it’s most likely going to be Andrews on the receiving end. Andrews doesn’t find the end zone often, but he racks up yards and receptions.
Prediction: 5 catches, 90 yards
Melvin Gordon
Melvin Gordon is an under the radar running back that is not getting attention. Gordon is on the cusp of rushing for 200 yards this season already and is a prime flex position player for all fantasy football teams. If the passing game isn’t all there, Gordon will get plenty of touches.
Prediction: 20 rushes, 120 yards, 1 touchdown
Toss up:
Broncos defense/special teams
![]()
Here’s the deal with the Broncos defense. They’ve looked good so far because they have played weak offenses. However, the Denver defense is good regardless. But, this Sunday we get a taste of what this defense really looks like. If this defense can slow down Lamar Jackson they’ll be fine. After all, Denver has one of the most underrated secondary’s in the NFL.
Avoid:
Ty’Son Williams
![]()
This might be surprising but Ty’Son Williams should be on the bench this week. Why? Lamar Jackson as usual will do most of the running. Plus, the Ravens have Latavius Murray who is an experienced running back who can take the rushing load off of Lamar Jackson. With two better rushing options than Ty’Son Williams it would be best if Williams stays on the bench this week.
Prediction: 10 rushes, 35 yards
