Episode 19: We Have No Clue What’s Going On

The title says it all. College football is a wild crazy sport anyways but this year it is that to the nth degree because in 2020, of course it is.

We break down another wild week in college football, try and figure out what top ten team is sus, and Nick Saban has COVID, how does it affect Bama vs. Georgia this week?

Wild Week of Play Again

The Red River Shootout lived up to it’s name. A 4 OT thriller between Texas and OU which reminds us why college football is beautiful. Even two mediocre schools meet up, if it’s a big rivalry game it can still be entertaining.

Also Sam Ehlinger, big game dude, Spencer Rattler maybe got some cred back?

LSU lost to Missouri, Pitt lost to BC, Texas A&M took down Florida, Louisville got crushed by Georgia Tech, Notre Dame struggled for a half with Florida State. We have no clue who is who right now. A team gets hot, then the next week falls apart. A team that looked lifeless a week before all of a sudden topples a giant. It makes zero sense.

Who Is Sus?

Among Us is a ton of fun. It has mostly consumed our lives. You thought the Pandemic took down the economy and destroyed lives, you haven’t seen anything.

So with that, what top ten team right now is sus? Who is the impostor? Who are we voting out? Who do we think we saw vent in electrical but can’t be sure?

Games This Week

Actually a smaller slate of games this week in part due to some COVID cancellations. We lost two SEC games, well really like one and a half. LSU and Florida is a blow, could of been a fun one to watch. Vandy and Missouri however? Eh, no need to reschedule that one.

Oklahoma State and Baylor got the axe as well.

And the game of the week, by a wide margin has been greatly affected. Georgia travels to Tuscaloosa to take on the Crimson Tide who will be without the best coach in the nation, Nick Saban, who tested postitive for COVID.

An elite Georgia defense going up against an elite Bama offense, it should be a good one.

Locks?

As the title states we have no idea what’s happening. And while Gilli is still confident in his picks, Connor is not. He had two locks last week that got embarrassed, tough week for him.

So this week he does what any responsible bettor would do in a slump, think against trends, stats and reason. Zig where Vegas Zags.
