Early Home Run Derby Winner Prediction

Start this off by saying the home run derby flat-out stinks compared to the past. The days of seeing the games best power hitters, like Bonds, Sosa, McGuire and Griffey, all participating in the same derby are long over. The MLB needs to do something about this. I know they can’t force anyone to participate but they can increase the prize for winner or something. Kids love watching it and with baseball be a “dying sport” the derby is a great way to keep kids interested.

With that being said I love watching the derby, not the same as when I was a kid, but still entertaining to watch. The one under the radar guy I would love to see hit moonshots into the Oval office would be Joey Gallo. Incase no one has noticed Gallo drops absolute moonshot home runs and would definitely put on a show.

The reason I’m picking him is simply because I’m expecting all the other guys that should participate in it to back out. Just like last years winner, Aaron Judge, friggen pud. Guy wins the derby and wont even come back to defend it? What a pansy!

Harper came out and said he will participate ONLY if he is selected to the All-Star team. We all know that’s going to happen so at least we’ll have one definite stud participating in it. It should be fun to watch if both Gallo and Harper participate in it. You’ll definitely see someone putting it clean out of Nationals Parks that night.
