BREAKING: Hanley Ramirez Reportedly Being “Eyed” In A State And Federal Investigation; Possibly Drug Related

And here it is. Hanley Ramirez has gone weeks now as an unrestricted free agent and not a single team has even brought him in or shown remote interest in signing the former Red Sox infielder.

The speculation has been circulating now that there could potentially be something buried that the public does not yet know. And then moments before I wrote this blog, Michele McPhee, an investigative journalist for ABC, tweeted this.

#HanleyRamirez, former @RedSox infielder, has some.. well, issues. Being eyed in connection with an ongoing federal and state investigation. Stay tuned.

I am reading and hearing that this investigation may have something to do with drug-trafficking. Now whether that means he was heavily involved or minimally involved, I am unsure. I am also seeing that there was a murder that allegedly took place in the Dominican in 2015 that may also be connected to this drug trafficking ring/the investigation. Take that lightly as this is unconfirmed. Again, just rumors that I have read so far.

Now we wait for the news to further unfold. I have a feeling that we are about to learn some different aspects of Hanley Ramirez’s life that could destroy his legacy as a baseball player as well as a human being.

Remember, as far as we know right now this is all alleged.

Update: The Red Sox claim to have not know about this investigation at the time of Ramirez’s release from the team.
