Drew Brees Goes Down With Thumb Injury
Week 2 saw the Saints take a major blow. On the field, they suffered a 27-9 loss to the LA Rams. Once again they were screwed over by the refs when a touchdown was called back due to an early whistle. But worst of all, Drew Brees left the game due to a hand injury.

Brees did not return. In fact, early returns speculate that Brees could miss some time in the coming weeks. After the game, Brees was asked about the injury and said he is “concerned”.
The Saints QB will stay in LA overnight to get his hand examined by a specialist in the morning.
Drew Brees saying he’s seeing a specialist in L.A. for his thumb injury … about now … admits “significant”

The injury occurred when Aaron Donald collided with the quarterback’s hand when throwing a pass. Brees had been under duress early in that game with the vaunted defensive line of the Rams getting after him often.
With the injury, the Saints revenge tour takes a major hit. Luckily for them, the rest of the NFC south hasn’t looked good so far this year.
