The Foo Fighters Are Back
If the Green Monster could talk, oh the stories it would tell. When it comes to the Red Sox, we all have amazing moments and memories of our time at Fenway Park we’d love to share.
I’ll never forget my first concert at Fenway Park back in July of 2015. If you have ever been to Fenway for a concert, it’s not the greatest venue. There is just something about seeing the iconic Green Monster in the background while your favorite band shreds.
I went with a few buddies to see the Foo Fighters, we sat in to the left of the Monster. The sun was beating down and I remember drinking nips of Jägermeister I snuck in the pockets of my cargo shorts.
This was the summer that lead singer Dave Grohl fell off the stage and broke his leg. The dude absolutely rocked on stage, broken leg and all. That night the show featured different twists and turns, even Grohl’s orthopedic surgeon got on stage and crushed a cover of Seven Nation Army.
It was an amazing night, well up until my buddy threw up in an Uber. Fifty dollars later and being dropped off at the wrong hotel, I wouldn’t trade that night in for anything.
This week, it was announced that the Foo Fighters are going to be on SNL with Dave Chappelle. In addition the Foo Fighters have been dropping tweets teasing their upcoming new album.

The Foo Fighters tenth album has been in the works for a while and was to come out in 2020. Back in March Grohl said “We just finished another f*cking record.” He went on to add, “And I’m so f*cking proud of it. It’s unlike anything we’ve ever done. I’m fucking excited for people to hear it, and I can’t wait to jump on that fucking stage to play it.”
Thanks COVID. Even though COVID is here, it isn’t stopping Foo Fighters fans from getting a new album.
They have been teasing their new album all over California with FF X ads.
The Foo Fighters didn’t drop a brand new single on Friday to coincide with their appearance on SNL. Whatever happens, I am ready for another Foo Fighters album. I am ready for more hits to go along with “All My Life”, “Pretender”, “My Hero”, “Best of You” and my favorite song on this planet “Everlong”.
Grohl is promising us with feel good music that 50,000 people could sing too. The new album will have a David Bowe “Last Dance” vibe to it.
I am ready to close the door on 2020 and there is no better way to do it than some new Foo Fighters this winter.
I will leave you with “Everlong” from when the Foo Fighters rocked Fenway Park. That was the night I stepped onto the grass in right field. If you have never stepped onto the field at Fenway Park it’ll give you goosebumps.
