Lock, Fade And Stay Away (11/7/20)

Lock:

Arizona State +11 (2.16u/2u)

The two times that they have met with Herm Edwards have been the head coach for the Sun Devils, both games have been decided by a combined eight points. Arizona State has Sophomore quarterback Jayden Daniels who is looking to impress from his great Freshman season. The Sun Devils need someone else to step up on offense, as both Eno Benjamin and Brandon Aiyuk are both in the NFL. New offensive coordinator Zak Hill is coming in from Boise State and will look to take this Sun Devils offense to the next level.

Now for the Trojans I will not trust Clay Helton. The USC Trojans can become the old USC Trojans the second that they let go of Clay Helton. For the Trojans they will need to be able to contain Daniels in order to have a chance. On the offensive side for the Trojans they have offensive coordinator Graham Harrell who will try to run the air raid offense. USC has Kedon Slovis a Sophomore who won the Pac 12 Freshman Offensive Player of the Year starting at quarterback. He was the reason that JT Daniels transferred. I don’t know how I feel about USC right now, I feel the points are too high to take the Trojans. This is a revenge game for Daniels and company who almost pulled it out against USC last season. Lock in Arizona State +11 as I am risking 2.16 units to make 2 units in this one.

Fade:

Georgia -3 

The Georgia Bulldogs have a very tough game ahead of them this week. They have the Florida Gators coming in and the Bulldogs have owned the Gators as of late. Georgia’s offense is in question after a mediocre performance against Kentucky last week, and they looked alright against Alabama. I see this game being decided based off of what quarterback plays better, and if that is the case I am riding with the Gators. Kyle Trask has been fantastic this season and will be a problem for this talented Georgia defense.

Stetson Bennett is going to need to be a lot better this week than he was last week. If the Bulldogs can figure it out offensively, they will keep this game close. I think they will struggle at key points in this game. With that being said I am fading the Georgia Bulldogs today.

Stay Away:

Over 64 (Minnesota vs Illinois)

This over total is way to high in my opinion. Illinois has played two games and the total was not even close to the over for today’s game. Minnesota though has put me in a whirl wind of emotions though. Last week they lose in overtime to Maryland, and I just don’t know what happened to the Minnesota team. Illinois will be without starting quarterback Brandon Peters, so I don’t think Illinois will be the same offensively. Minnesota I don’t know what we are going to get from them. With that being said I am going to stay away from the over in this one, with all the question marks going into this game.
