Doug Day in Jacksonville: “We Got It Right”
#DougDay is well underway in Jacksonville as the Jaguars introduce their new Head Coach, Doug Peterson.
Doug was announced by the Jacksonville Jaguars organization as head coach just this week after a long and exhaustive hiring process.

Doug Addresses the Media Today.
As Doug makes his first day appearance at Duval, it is time to address the media as several questions require an answer at this time for the organization.
The Media quickly started with their attention questioning Shad Khan and how the process was thought out. Of course, this comes after a troublesome year after the Urban Meyer disastrous experiment. Shad addressed the media by stating that this year, the process was long to ensure they “got it right” and that seems to be the feeling around the organization.
One of the immediate mindsets the front office wants for this organization is a winning mindset. Something that Doug Pederson ensured to bring front and center right off the go.

Additionally, the media asked Doug about his break in which he brought up the need to connect himself back with life. Back with family, his wife, and needed to find that competitive fire again. Which, shortly after, he ensured to remind the media about his winning mentality.
Thoughts on Media Day…
For starters, I’m a bit of fan of the hire. Doug brings a winning mentality injection which Jacksonville desperately needs after the roller coaster they went through.
It was important to get to know Doug himself a bit and the questions the media asked made that happen. As I watched, got to see a personable but charismatic head coach who cares for his players right off the bat. We also saw a side of someone with transparency which lacked last year for Jacksonville.
Pederson made it clear that the process wouldn’t happen overnight, but that his end goal was to ensure to work with everyone and collaboratively. The word “Collaboratively” seemed to show up a lot today, and it is clear that Pederson’s presence has a lot to do with that.
