David Price Out-duels Kershaw, Red Sox Win 2018 World Series

What. A. Year. The Boston Red Sox are officially the best baseball team in the world after defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers in game 5 of the World Series.

David Price was fantastic in the game going 7 strong innings, even retiring the last 14 batters he faced. He gave up a leadoff home run to David Freese, but after that Price showed that he is the $30 million a year pitcher that Boston signed.

On the opposing side, Clayton Kershaw was good for LA just not as good as Price. He gave up a 2-run homer to Steve Pearce (the MVP of the series) in the first inning, and that ended up being all the Sox needed.

This team was so fun to watch all year long. From Price, to Chris Sale, to Mookie Betts and J.D. Martinez, this team was as talented as you’ll ever see. They proved to everyone that they were the best baseball team in 2018, winning a total of 119 games this regular and postseason.

I could talk all day about how great this team is. Everyone in some way contributed to this World Series championship. I think it goes to show how great of a job Alex Cora did in his first season as Boston’s manager, but the players deserve a ton of the credit for never backing down and always staying in games. So here is to the 2018 Red Sox, one of the best baseball teams of all-time.
