Danny Etling Could Be An Interesting Piece This Year
The Patriots seem to have a knack for getting players to switch positions. Look no further than Jules. Well, it seems The Genius may be at it again, this time with quarterback Danny Etling.
At the start of training camp, Etling has been taking his usual reps as a QB. However, he isn’t wearing the red no-contact jersey. The reason? Well, it looks like Etling may become the Taysom Hill of the Patriots.
Etling isn’t exactly the dynamic runner that Taysom Hill is. But, who could forget his magic run in the preseason last year?
Electric.
Etling has also been hard at work to hone his receiver skills.

Give Danny Etling this, no one is working harder than him. Nearly an hour after practice he’s still grinding pic.twitter.com/zc65kuaRzE

Hill and Etling are comparable when it comes to size. The Saints have Hill listed at 6-foot-2, 221 lbs. Etling is 6-foot-3, 220 lbs. If Etling is able to successfully make this conversion into a gadget player, it’ll give Bill another weapon to drive teams crazy.
