Create Your Own Player in this Online Baseball League

Some of you who know me personally know that I played baseball in high school. Like all high school athletes, I had dreams to play in the big leagues someday. Of course, that didn’t happen. But I like to pretend by creating a player in whatever sports games I own: 2K, MLB the Show, WWE wrestling, you name it. However, there’s only so much satisfaction one can get from these games, mostly because you play them by yourself.

In comes the Big Head Baseball League.

Big Head Baseball

For the (presumably many) un-initiated, this simulation league uses the recently released “Super Mega Baseball 3,” and allows players to create their own players and play them in a sim league. They operate through a robust Discord server that allows you role-play as your player, predict winners of each series, cheer on your favorite virtual team, and be a part of a great community of sports fans. They also have a Twitter feed where they post updates just like any other league:

I’ve only been a part of the league for a short time, but I’ve loved it so far. Your player starts off in the minor leagues, but through both in-game play and participating in the community you can earn points to improve your player and watch them get drafted!

If you’re interested in learning more and participating, follow this link to their recent Reddit post.
