Can The Inconsistent Celtics Regain The East?
If you asked me a month ago, I would have told you that the Celtics have no shot at being atop the East at the end of the regular season.
Now about halfway through the season, the Celtics are right in the thick of things. The inconsistent Celtics are just 4.5 games behind the Bucks, who at the moment lead the East. Let me tell you something, this team was at rock bottom a few weeks ago.
They had no flow to their offense and all of the egos were clashing. After the last win against a solid Pacers team, I am a believer again.
All the Celtics need to do is win, win, and win some more. This should not be a problem looking at the next 10 games.
Yes, they do play the Raptors and Warriors, but these games are both in Boston. The other 8 games are against low-quality teams that the C’s should without a doubt beat.
Wednesday’s game changed my mind about the offense. Everyone was sharing the ball without hesitation, which is what we want to see.
I am not a believer in the Bucks. They simply rely upon Giannias to score the ball. This will come back to hurt the team at some point in the season.
The Raptors are the most solid team, but roster-wise, the Celtics are right there with them. The Pacers and 76ers are swing teams that are not ready to make the next step.
Listen, the Celtics are ready to regain the East. They will do so over the next month and no one should be surprised.
