Buffalo Shocks the World

Playing with a heavy heart

NFL Week 9 PFF ReFocused: Buffalo Bills 44, Seattle Seahawks 34 | NFL News, Rankings and Statistics | PFF

Let’s face it, 2020 has been a year of pain and uncertainty. However, there is a light, especially if you’re a Bills fan. Buffalo is now 7-2 after defeating the Seattle Seahawks 44-34. Bills quarterback Josh Allen was playing with a heavy heart and he played like the MVP quarterback that we saw during the first four weeks of the season. On Saturday night, Allen’s grandmother passed away unfortunately. Head coach Sean McDermott told Allen he did not have to play but the Bills quarterback wanted to play, and he was spectacular in the game. Allen went 31/38, throwing for 415 yards. He threw three touchdowns and rushed for one touchdown.

Ya Digg?

Stefon Diggs leads league in receptions, yards | wgrz.com

Newly acquired wide receiver Stefon Diggs was a factor once again in the victory. He caught nine passes for 118 yards. He didn’t get any touchdowns but he showed off his elite route running skills and Seahawks safety Jamal Adams was the victim in this clip.

Defense

Despite giving up 390 passing yards to Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, Buffalo’s defense got the job done and made Wilson look like a completely different quarterback than we have seen during the last few weeks. Safety Jordan Poyer got the party started when he picked off Wilson in the endzone. Give credit to defensive end Jerry Hughes for staying with Wilson on the play.

Speaking of Hughes, he forced a fumble to get Buffalo the back early in the third quarter.

Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White decided to get in on the fun as well.

The guy who should get the most love is Bills linebacker AJ Klein. After struggling for the last few weeks, Klein broke out in a big way. Just check out this big hit on Wilson that led to a fumble.

His stat line can be seen below. I’m happy for Klein. He has been criticized by me and other fans for his lack of play on the field. Hopefully he can keep it going while the team awaits linebacker Matt Milano coming back from his injury.

Looking ahead

Buffalo will look to go 8-2 as they head out west to play another NFC West opponent. Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals await the Bills as they will face off on Sunday afternoon with kick off starting just after 4 pm. You can catch the game on CBS.
