Buccaneers at Washington: Fantasy Football preview

Welcome to another fantasy football preview and this time its, Buccaneers at Washington!

As week 10 rolls in, and for fantasy leagues the playoff picture gets clearer, here are some ideas. Allow me to share with you who you should start, bench and keep an eye on ahead of this matchup.

Your Starter: Buccaneers at Washington

Mike Evans – Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR

As week 10 rolls in and the Tampa Bay Bucs are set to take on Washington, Mike Evans should be your WR1 starter this week.

Coming off of a bye week and currently second in the team in terms of targets and catches, Evans has the potential for another insane week this Sunday. Currently, Evans has 63 targets, 39 catches and has received for about 544 yards. While for many fantasy football managers, Evans could be too touchdown dependent, the WR actually leads Tampa in this arena.

In addition, Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski are likely to be out again this week. With that said, it leaves Tom Brady no choice but to target Evans like crazy in this matchup.

Washington Football Defense

Ahead of the fantasy football season, Washington was a highly regarded defense. Now as week 10 approaches, they have been an utter and massive disappointment for many managers who drafted this unit.

While both teams come to this matchup after their respective bye weeks, this matchup for Washington is not favorable at all. Washington has given up roughly the sixth-most passing yards and facing a Tom Brady who has been lights out this year once again, this is going to be a rough one. Just to put it into perspective, Washington has given up close to 2300 passing yards, and also are the second-most at giving up passing scores this season. The one plus side they have is their sacking, but even so, it doesn’t make them a strong fantasy option to start this week.

Keep an Eye Out For…

Logan Thomas – Washington Football Team TE.

Since injuring his hamstrings on week four, we have yet to see Logan Thomas play a game. However, even through the early weeks, Thomas was basically money whenever targeted and had two touchdowns. Speed forward now to week 10, especially after another week of preparations for his return to action, Thomas could be expected to be a factor in this game.

If the tight-end happens to be a game-time decision, you could expect for him to have some sort of involvement but nothing too crazy. Even with that said though, if Thomas returns he takes over the tight-end duties and would be a solid option to grab from waiver wires especially if anyone decided to drop him in your league.

Certainly a situation worth monitoring. For now, Washington’s tight end remains Ricky Seals-Jones.
