Bruins Player Tests Positive for COVID-19

There was an announcement today stating that the Bruins have a player who seemingly tested positive for COVID-19.

As Phase 2 of the NHL Return to Play plan begins, players will get COVID tests before getting the green light to enter the facility and take part in the small practice groups.

This player took two tests after and both came back negative. The player was asymptomatic at the time of the test and remains asymptomatic.

Which player could it be? We know it’s not Brad Marchand or Patrice Bergeron, as they were at Warrior working on some drills together, just the other day.

There’s no way to find out who it is without the player coming forward, until (or if) that happens, speculation continues to grow.

To me, it’s very strange how one test came back positive and then two follow up tests came back negative. Thank God there wasn’t any interaction between teammates or staff before the infection was discovered.

Regardless of who it is, I know i speak for all fans of the game when I say we are all hoping for a fast and easy recovery for whoever it is.
