The Boston Globe’s Alex Speier was the first to report Yorke’s promotion.
Yorke has been sizzling at the plate, since June 1, he has hit .373 with 10 home runs, 12 doubles and four triples.
Yorke struggled to open up the season, but his struggles only lasted for a few weeks. His first month in Salem was rough, finishing May with a batting average just under .200 along with 21 strikeouts in 91 plate appearances.

The 2020 first-round draft pick had an impressive month of June with a slash line of .354/.456/.523 over 79 plate appearances. During his impressive month of June, Yorke had six stolen bases and 10 runs scored.
Red Sox drafting Nick Yorke turned heads
When the Red Sox drafted infielder Nick Yorke in the first round of the MLB Draft last season, it left many people scratching their heads. The draft pick was somewhat surprising to most in the baseball world.
However, Red Sox Chief Baseball Officer Chaim Bloom saw something in Yorke and made him his first ever draft pick with Boston.
“I think at the end of the day, what it came down to is not us trying to do something that was off the board because we got a kick out of doing something that was off the board, but believing in it and not being scared off of it just because it was different,” Bloom said.
If the only reason that we don’t do something is that we’re worried about criticism, that’s not a good enough reason. We should never operate like that. We have to be willing to do what we believe is right, even if we’re going to get criticized.”

Yorke continues to make his way through the Sox system and is hitting along the way. The 19-year-old has been impressive to start his minor-league career.
If he continues to swing a Yorke could continue to elevate himself in the system next season. Yorke has been impressive and fans are excited for the young prospect.
