For the first time since 1995, the Buffalo Bills have won a playoff game. Last Saturday, Buffalo defeated the Indianapolis Colts 27-24 to punch their ticket to the divisional round. In this article, I will give you a few things that caught my attention.
Josh Allen silences the doubters
In his second playoff game, this one went a lot better than last year. Bills quarterback Josh Allen got his first career playoff victory. Allen went 26/35, throwing for 324 yards and threw two touchdowns. He also rushed for 54 yards and registered one rushing touchdown. One touchdown pass went to tight end Dawson Knox and I don’t know how Allen pulled this off.
Well, that was wild.

For you “he’s not accurate” people, this throw was a thing of beauty.
That Allen to Diggs connection. 👌

Gabriel Davis is a hidden gem
Bills rookie wide receiver Gabriel Davis continues to step up. In the victory over the Colts, Davis was one of the reasons why the Bills were victorious. He caught four passes for 85 yards, two of those catches I will talk about in a minute. I truly believe Davis is considered a draft steal. He was taken in the fourth round and it seems like the Bills made the right decision by selecting Gabriel. In the game against the Colts, Davis made two amazing plays back-to-back. You can check out the catches below.
Cole Beasley is a warrior
I said it before and I’ll say it again. Buffalo wide receiver Cole Beasley is extremely underrated. He caught seven passes for 57 yards. You’re probably asking why am I talking about him? In Week 16 against the New England Patriots, he suffered a knee injury and missed the following week’s game against the Miami Dolphins because of it. He was questionable against the Colts last week but he was going to toughen it out. Thank God he did because he was another reason why the Bills won. Beasley embodies Buffalo. Tough, blue collar, never gives up. I’m so happy he’s a Bill.
Bend don’t break
Despite giving up 472 yards to the Colts offense, the Bills defense made some plays when they needed to. There were some mistakes but they did just enough to win the game and prevented the Colts from winning the game. It doesn’t help that the Colts dominated time of possession, but the defense did it’s job. With that being said, they have a tougher challenge next week which I’ll get to next.
Looking ahead
It won’t get any easier this weekend as Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens will be coming to town this Saturday. Kickoff will get underway @8:15 pm and you can catch the game on NBC.
