Best Possible Returns for Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens
Two of WWE’s biggest stars, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens will be returning soon. With success imminent, the only question is where they go after returning. They have both been out with injuries but prior to that, they were two of the most wildly popular superstars. They’ve been bitter enemies, outcast partners, and best friends, but does the time away change any of that? Possibilities are endless but these are some of the best return scenarios.
I honestly think they could return to SmackDown and jump right into the title picture. Owens has a history of being United States Champion, and that title has been quite lackluster as of late. He could make a great US Champion, making the belt seem important again, while going on a lengthy run. On the other side, Zayn has a long history with the current WWE Champion Daniel Bryan. They’ve had a number of meetings on the independent wrestling scene and a feud between the two would be a treat for fans. Personally I’d love to see Sami come back and be treated as the fan favorite he is, while going after the top title on SmackDown.

The expectations for Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens are to return together. However, it is not far fetched for them to return on opposite brands. Between the end of their NXT careers and the majority of their main roster careers, they’ve been involved in the same storyline. Both are extremely proficient wrestlers, and likable characters, so there is no reason they wouldn’t be successful going solo. They would also both succeed on either brand, as they’ve spent time on both. There’s no doubt in my mind they would be fine without being involved in each other’s storylines, it’s just something we’ve yet to see.
Now my personal favorite option, and my theory on their return would be the most beneficial for them and the company. I would love for them to return to Monday Night Raw, and jump right into the tag team division. The tag team division on Raw has quite honestly sucked. It’s been so bad that one of the most popular tag teams, The Revival, requested their release. This is the opposite for SmackDown, as their tag division is the best it’s been in years. I think Sami and Kevin could go on a long run as the tag champs. They could be heels or faces, but regardless they would be popular with the fans. This would bring the spark that Raw needs for tag teams, and put gold on their waist while keeping them together. Every fan has missed Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. The fans need them, the company needs them, and quite frankly I need them. It doesn’t matter how they return, those are just my theories. Regardless of how they come back they’ll be fine. There is a huge spot at Wrestlemania waiting for them, as long as it’s booked correctly.
