A Racial Slur was Discovered on LeBron’s Home in LA This Morning
According to TMZ, police are investigating somebody who spray-painted the N-word on the front gate of LeBron’s home in LA. It was discovered at about 6:45 a.m. this morning by LAPD. It has since been painted over. The incident has to be completely investigated before it can be classified as a hate crime, but I have a feeling it will be. I don’t like LeBron, but this is messed up. As a sports fan, I get trash talking players you don’t like. I’ve trashed on LeBron many times, but bringing race into it is going way too far.
LeBron said in response to the incident “no matter how famous you are…being black in America is tough,” according to ESPN. I hate seeing things like this because it makes us as a country look like a bunch of dumbasses. As a society, we can’t keep taking steps backward like this. We have made some great strides, but there is definitely still a long way to go.
Here’s LeBron’s press conference discussing the incident:

James has gotten overwhelming support from the NBA community, which is a great thing. Hopefully, we can just move past this incident and get ready for the Finals on Thursday.
