2018-2019 NBA Preview: Top 100 Players: 10-6

10 Joel Embiid–Philadelphia–C (+19): Everyone was saying wait till Joel Embiid is healthy. Well, we waited and boy did Joel make it worth it. Embiid averaged 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 2 blocks per game in the 63 games he played. The only real weakness Embiid has is durability and hopefully, for all of us, he’ll overcome that.

9 Kyrie Irving–Boston–PG (=): In his 1st year with Boston, Kyrie Irving had his best statistical season. He nearly joined the 50%-40%-90% club and averaged 24 points per game. Irving is also widely considered the best ball handler in the game. Similar to Embiid, Irving has had to deal with injuries as well throughout his career. But when he’s healthy, he’s one of the best pure scorers in basketball.

Steph Curry is the best shooter in basketball.

8 Kawhi Leonard–Toronto–SF (-3): There might be a bigger question mark going into the season than Kawhi Leonard. He wanted out from an organization in the Spurs that is widely considered the best in all of basketball and leave the best coach in the game. But IF Kawhi is healthy and IF he is motivated, he’s the best two-way player in the game hands down. Toronto is taking a huge gamble on Kawhi to push them over the top and get to the Finals.

7 Stephen Curry–Golden State–PG (-1): Without a doubt, Steph Curry is the best shooter in basketball and may be the best shooter in the history of the game. Curry has averaged over 25 points per game in each of the last 3 years and nearly had his 2nd 50%-40%-90% year last season. With 3 rings in the past 4 seasons, he’s already one of the greatest guards of all-time.

NBA, 2018-2019 NBA Preview: Top 100 Players: 10-6
Giannis Antetokounmpo is an MVP favorite this season.

6 Giannis Antetokounmpo–Milwaukee–PF/SF (+6): With LeBron headed West, Giannis Antetokounmpo is the best player in the Eastern Conference. Not only is “The Greek Freak” on the cover of 2k19 this season, but he’s also a favorite to win the MVP. Last year alone, he averaged 27 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1.5 blocks/steals. That’s just crazy. The only thing Giannis needs to work on is his 3 point shooting and once he gets that down, he’ll be unstoppable.
