Will Zeke get Suspended?

According to Schefty, Ezekiel Elliot got into some sort of altercation last night at a bar in Dallas. While the report says no arrests were made and no suspects have been determined, it is believed the Cowboys’ star running back was involved in the situation. This is just days after we learned that there is speculation he would be suspended for an alleged domestic violence incident from last year. The league has an automatic six-game suspension for domestic violence cases, but due to the circumstances of his case it probably would have been different. I felt like he would have been likely to receive at least two games, but now I’m not so sure. After today’s news I think it’ll likely be a six or eight game suspension, which would be a HUGE blow to the Cowboys offense to start the season.

I’m not and never will be in his shoes, but how do you continue to screw up like this? He has barely been in the league for a whole year and he continues to get himself in trouble. Both of these incidents, along with the one where he pulled that girls shirt down at a St. Patricks Day parade continue to prove that he still has a lot of growing up to do. If you know that you’re being investigated and a possible suspension is coming, just stay in! You can’t go out and continue put yourself in these situations when you’re already under a league-wide microscope. Zeke is a phenomenal talent, the best running back in the game right now. He probably will be for a while too. I would hate to see him screw it up with off field antics because he truly is exciting to watch. With the NFL still investigating, and the addition of this new story, it isn’t looking great for Zeke and the Cowboys right now.
