Why Won’t the Cowboys Pay Zeke?
Running Back Ezekiel Elliott has been holding out all training camp for a new deal that would lock him up guaranteed money. However, I do not understand what is taking Dallas so long to give him the deal he wants.

Zeke is a top three running back in the league and he has been the reason of the Cowboys success the last couple seasons. The only reason the team did not make the playoffs during his sophomore season was because he had to serve a 6-game suspension. Other than that, he had one of the best rookie seasons ever and has made this team better than an 8-8 team.
I get that they need to make a deal work for Quarterback Dak Prescott, but, he just turned down a 30-million-dollar deal. One, I do not think Dak is a 30-million-dollar Quarterback and second, I think Zeke is the reason this offense has a chance in every single game.
“Dak holds the ball too long, he has one of the slower releases in the NFL. … His top 2 targeted guys last year were Cole Beasley & Ezekiel Elliott. Beasley’s in Buffalo, Zeke’s in Cabo right now. Everything for me is coming up regression. I’m not paying him.” — @jasonrmcintyre pic.twitter.com/aTj7X8wrJ6

I feel that Zeke should get what he deserves. If he can stay healthy and out of trouble, and I know the risk, then the Cowboys should lock him up long-term.
