Why The Phillies Will Win Their Division

The Phillies just made another move that just continues to separate them from the rest of their division moving forward. Yesterday afternoon the Miami Marlins agreed to send J.T. Realmuto to the Phillies in exchange for a haul of prospects, that by most reports is a pretty good return. This move is why the Phillies will win their division.

Realmuto is the best all around catcher in baseball, sorry Yadi I still love watching you play but its J.T.’s game now. Realmuto finished the year with a .277 average, 21 home runs, and 74 RBI’s. He also brought home his first Silver Slugger.

It is no secret that Philly is in the hunt still on the Machado and/or Harper sweepstakes. It is also no secret that they have been building their team all offseason in hopes of doing something special in 2019. Philly will end up with one of the two and if you are in Harper or Machado’s camp you are seriously pushing to go to Philly if you really are wanting to win a championship.

Be aware people, Philly is legit and they are no longer a punching bag in baseball. Personally, I love it! Philly has been terrible for a long time and part of me wants to see them fight it out with Atlanta all of next year and have it come down to the final week of the season to decide who wins it. 2019 is going to be a fun year for baseball. Better buckle up now!
