Why Isn’t MASON RAMSEY on the Uncle Drew Soundtrack?
As many of us know, Kyrie Irving has a movie coming out this month.
Like most movies nowadays, this one has a soundtrack. This soundtrack was released today, and it includes a variety of features from A$AP Rocky to Wiz Khalifa to Logic and so on and so forth.
So why are we talking about this right now? Well, it turns out that Kyrie himself recorded a song for this soundtrack called “Ridiculous.” It’s actually not that bad in my opinion. But anyways, you still may be wondering, why is this relevant? Does anybody remember when Mason Ramsey, aka Lil Hank Williams, stated that he wants to work on a song with Kyrie? I sure do:

Here we are, nearly two months removed from this tweet, and still no song. Normally I would completely understand an NBA player with no prior music background not getting involved in something like this. But the fact that Kyrie just came out with an entire damn album and didn’t even get a Lil Hank feature seems a little disrespectful to me. It’s a borderline abomination to society to just ignore one of the biggest talents of our generation like that.
All that kid wanted to do was work on a song with his favorite basketball player. Is that too much to ask for these days? Now that I know Kyrie is out here recording songs without Ramsey, probably KNOWING that he would love to work with him, I can’t look at him the same. I’ve officially lost faith in all of humanity.
