What to Enjoy as a Boston Sports Fan Tonight!
Sports were back last night in some form. The Yankees took on the Nationals in a game that was shortened to six innings due to heavy rain coming down. There was also the Giants playing the Dodgers. But it doesn’t feel real for me personally until the Boston teams get started. Well, that changes tonight. We have two Boston sports teams in action and I’ll get you quickly caught up on what to expect. Let’s dive right into it!

Do you hear that?

Listen, I know this isn’t the baseball season we’re all accustomed to watching. I’m also aware that the Red Sox on paper are not supposed to be good this season. But if you think I’m not going to be watching at 7:30 PM EST, you’re just dead wrong! Nathan Eovaldi takes the opening day nod against the Orioles. I don’t care if the the Red Sox might not have the exact same firepower as 2018 or 2019. They still have a deadly lineup! Xander Bogaerts, Rafael Devers, J.D. Martinez, Mitch Moreland, Michael Chavis, Andrew Benintendi and Christian Vazquez is a solid seven to have in any lineup. Yes, Mookie’s gone and he won’t ever be back. It’s a loss, but it’s not as deadly once you see the names above on the lineup card. It’s the Orioles people. I’m fully expecting a Red Sox win game one (as long as the bullpen doesn’t crap themselves!)
Celtics Scrimmage Against the Thunder
The Celtics find themselves in a scrimmage today against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Remember, this Celtics team is healthy and ready to go. Kemba Walker will be on a minutes restriction, and to be honest, that’s fine with me until playoffs. This will be a nice little appetizer before the Red Sox. It’ll be so nice to watch Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Gordon Hayward, Walker, and Daniel Theis on the floor again. Also can’t forget about guys like Marcus Smart, Enes Kanter, and Grant Williams coming off of the bench too. We’ll get a sense of how these guys will look in a week. Will they be ready or will the rust need to be knocked off severely? We get our first glimpse of it tonight!
In Conclusion
We’ve made it Boston sports fans! Enjoy tonight. The Celtics and Red Sox back to back is a GREAT way to spend a Friday night. Soon enough, the Bruins will follow suit and the Patriots open up training camp soon. Boston sports are officially back!
