Week 11 NFL Power Rankings: Are the LA Rams Pretenders?

New Batch of NFL Power Rankings

Week 10 was a little more back to earth compared to Week 9, a couple of upsets and head-scratchers here and there, but nothing to the extent of what we saw in Week 9. Although that does not mean this week’s NFL Power Rankings are not a jumbled mess still, because trust me… they are!

The biggest question posed after this week is going into the NFL Power Rankings? Are the LA Rams pretenders? After a hot ho start, they have fallen flat on their faces losing two in a row. Where do they land in this week’s NFL Power Rankings?

Well, we are about to find out.

Read on to find out!

Now, before we dive into Week 11 of the NFL Power Rankings make sure you check out last week!!

With that now out of the way, let’s see this week’s NFL Power Rankings!!

32. Houston Texans 1-8 (Last Week- 32)

-BYE WEEK- UP NEXT: @ TENNESSEE TITANS

31. New York Jets-2-7 (Last Week- 29)

Ummm… ya… Two straight weeks of being absolutely manhandled. It is not going well for the Jets right now.

They will look to bounce back against Miami in Week 11

30. Detroit Lions 0-8-1 (Last Week- 30)

I mean, hey, they didn’t lose!

It was an ugly game for sure between the Lions and Steelers that went into Overtime. The ultimate downside is they lost another second-half lead which led them to overtime.

It is no doubt that we are seeing progress in the young Lions. They will look to go for the elusive first win on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.

29. Jacksonville Jaguars- 2-7 (Last Week- 26)

It was not a win, but it is a step in the right direction, as the young Jags team was able to overcome a 17-0 deficit and compete with the Colts. Another encouraging sign? The defense is starting to finally step up and make plays, all led by LB, Josh Allen.

They will host the San Francisco 49ers in Week 11

28. Chicago Bears 3-6 (Last Week- 28)

-BYE WEEK- UP NEXT: VS. BALTIMORE RAVENS

27. Philadelphia Eagles 4-6 (Last Week- 27)

It may be a long shot to make the playoffs for the Eagles this year, but in a season with a rookie head coach and question marks all around, the biggest question make may have found an answer.

QB, Jalen Hurts has shown major improvement in 2021, and even with three first-round picks in the 2022 draft, the young QB is showing why they should take a risk in a QB-depleted draft class in 2022.

26. Miami Dolphins 3-7 (Last Week – 31)

A much needed, and much-deserved win for the Phins and Brian Flores. A grind-it-out, elbow grease kind of win that saw the Dolphins defense suffocate Lamar Jackson and Raven’s offense.

They will now look to get a winning streak together, starting with a struggling Jets team in Week 11.

25. Atlanta Falcons 4-5 (Last Week- 21)

Two steps forward, two steps back.

Week 10 was a crapshoot for the Atlanta Falcons as HC, Arthur Smith stated, “We were outcoached and outplayed.” That is all you can really say, the team ran into a buzz saw in the Cowboys Offense.

It doesn’t get easier on a short week either as they get set to host the red-hot New England Patriots.

24. New York Giants 3-6 (Last Week- 24)

-BYE WEEK- UP NEXT: @ TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS ON MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

23. Seattle Seahawks 3-6 (Last Week – 18)

The Seattle Seahawks were shut out for the first time in 10 years, just let that sit in for a second.

All good? Well, even with the much-anticipated return of Russell Wilson, the Seahawks were just outmatched in a low-scoring 17-0 loss.

This is a game you gotta put behind you in the rearview mirror, because coming up Sunday, they have NFC West rival Arizona Cardinals

22. Pittsburgh Steelers 5-3-1 (Last Week – 19)

Now, before I go too crazy. Pittsburgh was missing their QB, and it showed majorly. They also played down to the level of their opponent in an absolutely ugly game against the Lions.

It does not get easier either, Big Ben’s status for Sunday is in doubt, and star Safety, Minkah Fitzpatrick has been diagnosed with COVD-19. They will look to piece together a win on Sunday night against the Los Angeles Chargers.

21. Denver Broncos 5-5 (Last Week – 16)

It was a must-win game Sunday for the Broncos, it was the only way they could prove that their dominating win over the Cowboys in Week 9 was not a fluke. Well, it was indeed a fluke as the team put up a stinker at home against the Eagles.

Now sitting at 5-5, they head into the BYE week with a lot of questions about what is to come.

20. Washington Football Team 3-6 (Last Week – 25)

What a statement win for the Football Team as they capped off an upset win over the Buccaneers with a clock draining 10-minute drive to ice it with a touchdown. The team showed a moment of what we expected the team to be at the beginning of the year.

Now, with the loss of Chase Young to an ACL tear, it is hard to tell what this defense will do going forward.

They face the Carolina Panthers on Sunday afternoon.

19. Indianapolis Colts 5-5 (Last Week- 20)

The Colt’s offense sputtered in the second half against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. The schedule only gets harder from here for Indy too, so if they want to make a push, they need to get going quickly against the number 1 defense in the Buffalo Bills.

18. San Francisco 49ers 4-5 (Last Week – 22)

There is a lot of movement in the middle of the pack here in the Week 11 NFL Power Rankings, San Francisco made a big jump this week after shutting down the LA Rams offense, Jimmy G was slinging it, while Deebo Samuel continues to do it all.

They have a chance to get back to an even record in Week 11 when they face a struggling Jaguars team.

17. Minnesota Vikings 4-5 (Last Week- 23)

Speaking of big wins, this was a much-needed win for Mike Zimmer and the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings jumped a whopping six spots in this week’s NFL Power Rankings after they went into LA and upset the Chargers.

The Viking’s offense seemed to click seamlessly on Sunday, something they have been needing for weeks.

They now are set to host division rival, Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

16. Cleveland Browns 5-5 (Last Week – 14)

HOOOOO BOY… The Cleveland Browns.

Week in and week out this team has shown it is inconsistent, after blowing the brakes off of the Bengals last week, they reverse course and get the brakes beaten off of them by the Patriots.

Now, it is not all on Baker Mayfield, the guy is a trooper playing through all his injuries, remind me of Monty Python and the Holy Grail “Tis But A Scratch”

In all seriousness though, they have been decapitated by the injury and COVID bug. At 5-5, they are still in the race for the AFC North. They will try to get it back on track when they face a winless Lions team in Week 11.

15. New Orleans Saints 5-4 (Last Week- 12)

Let’s keep it simple, it was a brutal loss for the Saints on Sunday, a lot went right and a lot went wrong, Sean Payton was not happy after the game, and it is understandable, they need to bounce back though because the NFC South is still anyone for the taking.

They head to Philly in Week 11 to take on the Eagles.

14. Carolina Panthers 5-5 (Last Week – 17)

HE’S BAAACCKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!

He did not play much, but the two important red zone plays he was a part of both ended in touchdowns. With Cam Newton back on the Panthers and a healthy Christian McCaffrey, the 5-5 Panthers are looking to make a late push into the playoffs and possibly the division, as Tampa Bay continues to falter.

They face former head coach, Ron Rivera, and his Washington Football Team on Sunday.

13. Las Vegas Raiders 5-4 (Last Week – 10)

The downfall of the Raiders may have begun, nothing was going right in Vegas on Sunday Night. Derek Carr looked sub-par at best, what started out as a good start for Vegas is going downhill very quickly.

They will face the Bengals next Sunday Afternoon.

12. Kansas City Chiefs 6-4 (Last Week – 13)

I will say this, the last two weeks the Chiefs have looked better. Their defense is slowly coming to form, and the offense looked like normal against a struggling Raiders team.

I am not a believer that Mahomes and the Chiefs are back just yet. IF, they can take down the Dallas Cowboys and offensively look like they did the past two weeks, then oh boy, watch out.

Week 11 will be a showdown against the Chiefs and Cowboys in which could end up being an absolute offensive show.

11. Cincinnati Bengals 5-4 (Last Week – 11)

-BYE WEEK- UP NEXT: @ LAS VEGAS RAIDERS–

10. Los Angeles Chargers 5-4 (Last Week – 9)

The LA Chargers are a very confusing team offensively, they have been very up and down the last few weeks. In what we thought was a slump breaker in Week 10, ended up being a mirage as they took a tough home loss against the Minnesota Vikings.

They have the Sunday Night slot against the Pittsburgh Steelers coming up in Week 11.

9. New England Patriots 6-4 (Last Week- 15)

New England made a statement in Week 10.

Well well well, it appears, for now, the New England Patriots have returned to form and are now a threat in a wide-open AFC after a 45-7 thumping of the Cleveland Browns.

They will look to get their 5th straight win on Thursday as they face a short turnaround against the Atlanta Falcons.

8. Los Angeles Rams 7-3 (Last Week – 8)

Are the Rams contenders or pretenders?

The last two weeks have shown that the team is a pretender, after back-to-back losses against the Titans and 49ers. The league has seemed to figure out Mathew Stafford after a scorching hot start to the season. They have the team to win it all but do they have the chemistry to do it. If they are not successful it will be one of the biggest failures the NFL has seen.

The good news is, they head on their BYE where they can take a minute a breathe, and recoup.

7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 6-3 (Last Week – 6)

It was an ugly loss for Brady and Co. on Sunday. It showed after the game as the QB cut his presser short due to frustration. Even worse, Brady had to sit on the sideline for most of the fourth quarter as he watched the Washington offense take 10 minutes off the clock on a 19 play, 80-yard touchdown drive to ice the game.

They are in a funk right now, and because of it, the NFC South is wide open, who will take advantage?

They can bounce back on Monday Night Football when they host the New York Giants.

 6. Baltimore Ravens 6-3 (Last Week -4)

It was not a pretty sight on Thursday Night Football as the Miami Dolphins pulled off the upset over the Baltimore Ravens. Lamar and the offense had no answers whatsoever for a stingy Dolphins Defense.

It was a humbling loss, and they can look to bounce back on Sunday when they face the Chicago Bears.

5. Buffalo Bills 6-3 (Last Week – 7)

Buffalo got back in the win column with a dominating win over the New York Jets in Week 11. The offense seemed to be back, but can they put it together for 2 straight weeks and really break out of this slump?

They will have the chance to do this when they host the Colts on Sunday.

4. Arizona Cardinals 8-2 (Last Week – 1)

A second straight week without Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins led to a tough loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. In the long run, though, it is the right move to let Kyler and Hopkins sit, even if it does mean you lose a couple of games. The Cardinals are in a good spot to do this, as they hope to get the two stars back within the next week and make a finishing push to the playoffs and division.

They travel to Seattle on Sunday to face the Seahawks.

3. Tennessee Titans 8-2 (Last Week – 5)

The Titans are on an absolute tear right now. Even though the offense has been limited since the injury of Derrick Henry, the Titans have found a way to win regardless.

Fun Fact: The Titans are the second NFL team ever to win five consecutive games against opponents that qualified for the playoffs the season before.

They will look to keep it going on Sunday when they face the Houston Texans.

2. Green Bay Packers 8-2 (Last Week – 2)

Green Bay proved that their defense can come to play. It in fact has been one of the best defenses in the past couple of weeks. This week they recorded a shutout against the Seattle Seahawks.

Offensively, they are in a groove as well and are happy to have their star QB back for the stretch run.

They host the Vikings on Sunday.

1. Dallas Cowboys 7-2 (Last Week – 3)

The Dallas Cowboys are back to the top spot in the NFL Power Rankings. The reason they are back up top over the two teams behind them is the fact that they were able to show that the loss against the Broncos was just a blip in the radar. They bounced back from that by demolishing the Falcons 43-3.

They are the team to beat in the NFC still currently, and they have a massive inter-conference showdown with the Chiefs at Arrowhead on Sunday.

Wrapping up the Week 9 NFL Power Rankings
