Zion’s Not Done At Duke And Is About To Come Back And Run March

Freshman phenom Zion Williamson has been cleared to play according to Duke team officials, and will suit up for the Blue Devils tonight.

Williamson had been out since February 20th with a mild knee sprain that he suffered after his shoe practically exploded. His injury caused a whole bunch of ruckus in the sports world on topics ranging from should he sit out the rest of the season, should college athletes be paid, and it also caused Nike’s stocks to take a dip for a few days.

In case you’re wondering, he’s still going to be rocking Nikes .

Just how important is Zion to this team? Since his injury Duke has gone 3-3(including the game he went down in 30 seconds into the game) with two loses to rival UNC and a very close win at home against ACC bottom-feeder Wake Forest. A finalist for nearly every prestigious award in CBB, Williamson is averaging 21.6ppg, with 8.8 boards/game, 2.2 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.8 blocks. Talk about stuffing the stat sheet. He’s done all this at an extremely efficient clip, shooting 68.3% from the field. I don’t have a real stat on this one but I’d venture to guess that he’s also averaging something like 1.2 SC Top-Ten Plays per game. I don’t know, just a guess.

For the sake of entertainment in March, let’s all be thankful that this guy is back, and his injury wasn’t to serious. Duke fan or not, this man is a sensational talent.

He returns tonight for Duke’s first game of the ACC tournament vs. Syracuse. Sorry Cuse. In case you forgot, this is what he does.↓

Pray for Syracuse tonight.
